C-A mini mission

Natalia didn't like this one bit. Digging kids out of the debris, injured and crying, was enough to crush her little heart. Of course, as much as it hurt, she wanted to help them all. If she left one child out there alone, she would never be able to forgive herself. But as she would find out, it was impossible to save them all.

The first child body they came across sent her into such a shock, she screamed and sobbed for a few good minutes. So young, so much to still live for, now cut short because of a few bricks and boards. More tragic than the death that still awaited for most of them. She wasnt sure if she would be able to continue on their task but Iskander was on her case, forcing her to move along with no sympathy. More than anything, he was just worried about the threat of titans and wanted to keep moving.

It wasn't of much help to Nat in terms of comfort, but as they continued on she realized how selfish she was being for wanting it. She needed to direct her energy to comforting the children they found, to be their light. Sure, it wasn't easy; the sights they came across were enough to break anyone. But the moment she'd see that child's face, scared and lost, Nat had to pull out the brightest smile she could muster. And each time she did, she could see a shine to their eyes and it gave her the strength to continue.

Hope was what these kids needed....and she would be the one to give it to them.



_{Why did more effort go into this than the other missions combined???} Nat continues to be the beacon of hope for all those around her. Though she'll most likely see the faces of the dead children in her dreams, she knew she couldn't afford to let those images get her down. My little trooper really has grown~
